History

The forum was originally founded as an annual bilateral meeting between Korea and Japan in 2011, and was expanded to China and other Asian countries as the A3 Metamaterials Forum in 2017. The first A3META symposium was launched in Sendai, Japan, in 2016 under the leaderships of Jeong Weon Wu, Teruya Ishihara, and Lei Zhou. Successive symposiums have been successfully held in Shanghai, China in 2017 and Pohang, Korea in 2018.
The forum consists of invited talks delivered by top scientists selected by the steering committee and a poster session presented by students and other scientists. All presentations will be scheduled in a single session in order to maintain an intimate environment for discussions.
